WODs and Open Scores!

This week has been a bit crazy! I can barely remember what my WODs were…We did a lot of focus on fundamental movements because we’ve had a lot fo new people start recently.

Monday: Squats!
40-30-20-10 of front squats at 95lbs and GHD situps, all split up with a partner

Tuesday: OHS and pushups with a partner
You and partner have 2 minutes to each complete 10 OHS and 5 push-ups, then a minute to up the weight, then do it again. The goal was make it through 5 increases.
I went: 75#, 85#, 95#, 105#, and then got 6 115# in and dropped the weight on my back, tried again to get the weight up in time but failed so I let me partner get his reps in

Wednesday: Girls Night! I really LOVE my CF box! The people over all are awesome.
I hosted the first CrossFit Beyond Girls Night at the box and had 13 ladies show up. After our WOD we went across the street to a bar that was having a karaoke night.
Our WOD was one person would row 15 calories, while the other team members each did one of the following movements: goblet squats, shoot thrus, lateral jumps, turkish get-ups, and pistols. Each time the rower completed the 15 calories, the whole group would rotate to a new movement. This continued for 20 minutes.

I will proudly say that I sang “Shoop” by Salt-n-pepa and didn’t even need the screen to tell me the words 🙂

ALSO- I rowed 500m in 1:41.5 woop woop!20130306_185734

Thrusday: I took a mental health day and Matt and I went out for breakfast! This was our WOD 13.0 haha!20130307_092106

At night, I coached class, then stretched and pumped myself up for 13.1, only to find out I had to judge other athletes first…then finally at 8pm I got to go 😦 I’m grumbly that I didn’t get to go when I was fresh and ready, but I got 153 so I’m happy enough!

Friday: It’s clean and jerk day! My shoulders hurt SO BAD but I’m going to go play anyway…and yes, it’s day 6 of training because I forgot to take a rest day this week. OOPS!

I thought I had more to write about but I don’t!

    153!! Wow!!

    I’m so excited for all these ladies I’m seeing killing it with this WOD! I hit 100 and was darn pleased lol. Congrats!!
